To say this class is life changing would be an understatement. Kristi’s knowledge and approach to functional wellness has opened my eyes to creation and God’s intent for healthy living. The knowledge learned in this course is so countercultural and will change the way you view food, cooking, wellness and so much more. Kristi gives you space to implement simple lifestyle changes while also pouring Jesus’ love and grace over your life when things get tough because let’s face it “diets” only leave room for failure. This class is as far as you can get from a “diet” and is such a good reminder of how our Creator intended us to live. I have had countless physical changes with taking this course (weight loss, inches lost, more energy, etc.) but most importantly are improvements in my spiritual and mental well-being. I came into this whole health challenge with Kristi kind of half-hearted. I just wasn’t that excited about making any changes in my health. But once we got into the course, I decided to start making some of the small changes Kristi was suggesting. Nothing drastic, just small steps like switching to organic fruits and vegetables, reducing the amount of sugar, and finding healthier meats (grass-fed cow, free-range chickens). I was shocked by how much more energy I have, the weight I was losing, and how much better I feel with these small steps. My family is benefitting as well, as we are starting to make healthier choices together. Kristi helped me see that taking small steps and just continuing on the journey can make a huge difference in your overall health.

Holistic health and wellness has always been a huge passion of mine therefore I was extremely enthusiastic to learn more. Going into the class I thought it was going to be heavy on food and eating well. I already had an awareness of reading labels and shopping organically/non GMO, but I was so excited to learn more. What I didn't expect from this particular class was all the other areas of health that Kristi took a deep dive into. This was so eye opening to me to see that even being in a hurry can have a profound impact on my health. This class addresses more than just the surface level aspects of health and goes deep into the roots. I learned so much about how stress and even negative self-talk can damage my health and even my family's health. God honestly used this class to minister to me in so many ways. I am so extremely sad for this class to end. I have looked forward to it week after week and it has given me the confidence to little by little take back my health in more areas than just food. I signed up for the Simply Wellness class to learn more about nutrition and how to be a healthier version of me. The class topics are great and the group atmosphere is motivating. I have increased my daily water intake, am much more aware of foods I am putting in my body, and am making gradual changes to products I have in my home that I learned contain unnecessary toxins. I’ve completely enjoyed this class. I had done a lot a research in the past on healing using whole food and having a nontoxic environment, but Kristi explained things so well. The class on different “fad” diets was very helpful. It can be so confusing when these plans contradict each other. I had a mentor once tell me, “if God created it then eat it in its most original form”. Unfortunately, our food has become so commercialized the we have to be aware of the toxins even in regular fresh veggies. I’m no where close to what I should be doing with the food I eat, but I’m doing better and I have a direction to head.
